China's first fully electric floating boat for cleaning objects on the surface of the Yangtze River, developed by CTG, commenced construction in Yichang, Hubei Province, on December 10. The boat will primarily undertake channel cleaning and waste transport in the Three Gorges reservoir area.

With a 4,000-kWh battery and a speed of 18 km/h, the 82-meter ship can travel up to 160 km, saving 253.4 tonnes of fuel and reducing annual carbon emissions by about 844 tonnes.
